here are a list of shortcut keys, these are specific to windows, some only apply to the later versions of windows. with these and many more shortcut keys, the mouse becomes virtually useless and the speed of your computer use increases dramatically, but beware, using the computer too quickly may result in unexpected actions

save as, as opposed to save, save as will allow you to save your file as something different, works in microsoft word

alt + letter

when you see a line underneath a letter of a word, where this word is apart of a button or a menu, etc., if you hold down 'alt' and then strike the letter on your keyboard, windows will select that item. try holding down 'alt' and then look at the top of your screen, assuming your in windows explorer, you will see the 'f' of file underlined. strike the 'f' key and you will see it selected.
